Driving to Reno…

June 27, 2008 By Christie

What a long not-so-pretty drive. Reno is cooler (temperature-wise) than you’d think. I doubt it broke 90 degrees while we were there! Plus, they have a river that makes it really green and tons of trees surprisingly! So first day driving there–Dillon had the DVD player for the car, so that was fun trying to entertain two kids for 7 hours while I drove, but they did really well! There was only about an hour that I was getting frustrated with them, then they fell asleep. I have great memories of road trips taking vacations from when I was little, listening to Abba, Petula Clark, and the Beatles the whole way there and back, so I popped in my Abba CD to stay awake and it really brought back some great memories. It sure was great when the kids finally slept though! (You can see in the picture a great representation of the scenery for most of the trip!)
When I had to check into the apartment with my boys, Devon sat down at the lady’s desk and said, “Okay, so…, my name is Devon.” It was totally cute.

The apartment is tiny, and at first I thought my kids would drive me crazy there being crammed in, but they love sharing a room and it’s a lot less house to clean! Plus there is swimming!!!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
