Dillon modeling my sunglasses. Bailey was quite the little hiker, not asking for help at all. Carson, being his very confident self :). Dev seems to be the only one of our kids so far who isn’t afraid of heights. He loves to climb. Carson and Bailey and I, not so much. If I don’t think about it too much I’m ok. These two cousins are inseparable! It’s very cute. And convenient that it’s so easy to watch them now! We went along the Temple Quarry Trail, which was even neater to read about and think about after Dillon working on the Salt Lake Temple. Devon just loved all the acorns and collected a ton. They accidentally got thrown into the fire and he was devastated (they were in a bag). So we made sure to stop and get some more. He kept them at home in a baggie until all these little worms decided to come out and be disgusting. Janina suggested bringing some crafts and games to entertain the kids. I brought camping bingo that I found online. She brought a fun scavenger hunt that the kids really loved. Bailey and Elisabeth made soup. Rachelle brought chalk and showed off her Tangled drawing skills. And Dillon was a favorite amongst the littlest girls. He was so sweet to entertain them. I saw another idea online to make marshmallow popper things. Everyone had fun with these, including the grown-ups. Grandma brought glow-sticks. Such a fun time. It DUMPED on us the first night and we seriously got drenched in our tent—as in water seeping through my entire sleeping bag and dripping on my head all night. It was so miserable. Thankfully the rest of the trip was lovely and relaxing.
