About

Hello friends and family! I’ve had this blog going since Carson and Devon were just so little. July of 2007, so Devon was just 2 and Carson was almost 4…oh it brings tears to my eyes to write that! They both still had baby fat and baby teeth. How things change so quickly! You always hear it said and it’s so true. The days are long but the years are short. I was pretty good at blogging here for a couple years, and then slacked off as life got busier. I’m determined now, on this day of March 12, 2015 (how’s that for dramatic, ha!), to catch up on this blog and print it into a book! I’ve always wanted to do that! But it’s preserving these memories that eases the sad thoughts that crop up when I think of them growing up and leaving home someday.

I read the kids a chapter of a book tonight, and I’d paused to talk about money and the Great Depression at one point, and then it led to talk of missions and getting married and all of that. I got done reading and Bailey looked really sad. I asked her what was wrong and she said, “I just don’t ever want to leave you.” I almost cried. I told her I wasn’t ever going to make her leave. And that someday, believe it or not, she would want to leave ;). But that she can come home whenever she wants.

Anyway, I did a little revamp of my blog this week, because I wanted to motivate myself to be here and blog more. And catch up. Not easy but it can be done. I just have to prioritize. I know I’ve been saying I wanted to catch up for a long time. So I hope I actually do it this time.

Glad you are here–it’s sparse numbers I know, who actually read family blogs anymore, and honestly if my kids and I are the only ones who ever read this anymore, I am ok with that. But if you are here, welcome :).

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
