-Dillon said if we ever doubted naming Ruby what we did, all we had to do was hear Bailey say her name. He’s right. It’s really cute. -Bailey told Dillon that his hair felt like noodles that weren’t cooked yet. -Bailey made THE funniest face the first time she was holding Ruby while she pooped. Her eyes got so huge and she looked at Ruby like, “What in the world was that!?” -Carson was talking about the lego movie that is coming out, and he started to breath all quickly and had a look of shock on his face. When he was re-telling people how excited he was about it, he said, “I hyper villiated!” -By day 26 of Ruby’s life, she had been to 15 doctors appointments—so all 15 were since we’d been home, so minus how old she was when she got home and she had 15 appointments in 22 days time. Tires this momma out! (and makes my c-section scar ache and ache!) -we went to Dillon’s fam for a dinner. Carson was trying to impress some of Dillon’s cousin’s kids but wasn’t quite saying the right things. Maybe he was trying to get a laugh (which he did). But he said, “Devon and I are bigger babies than Bailey—she gets hurt and totally toughs it out but if Devon and I get hurt we cry more than she does!” They laughed—all except Devon who smiled but said, “WHY would you tell them that!?” So funny. -Devon won a fish. At the same time our one we were hoping would be gone any day died at home. It was crazy. Devon named his fish Bronzo. And he looked at him and declared, “Yep, he’s a good one.” -Carson calls Ruby an angel. -Someone came over to our house and Carson started to talk to him about things he likes. This person was older. Carson asked him, “Have you ever heard of legos?” Ha ha! -Devon gives Ruby sympathy any time she even attempts to cry. Well I guess they all do. But Devon is the most outspoken about his sadness for her. He’ll say really loudly when she cries, “Ooohhhhhh ho ho ho ho.” And then of course add, “I-just-love-her-so-much!!!” That’s a new word. Just one word. Ask him. -Bailey was trying to tell the hat joke that ends with “I’ll move on ahead.” But she kept saying, “I’ll move on” and laughed and laughed. Cute girl. -Devon was trying to build a car kit he got at Joann. As he was building it he got a little frustrated and said, “I thought this was going to be easy as peasy!” -I was reading a book while the kids were watching wreck it, and just feeling so thankful for this time when they are young and protected generally still, no major decisions they have to make, no wars they are off too, no evils getting to them right now. All just safe, happy, innocent, peaceful. So thankful for this time in our life.
