Me

December 1, 2008 By Christie

Today is my 28th birthday! It says November 30th above this post, but I ended today, December 1st, which is really my birthday. I don’t normally do tags, so sorry if you’ve tagged me. I’m not ignoring it, I just don’t love to talk about myself. So I thought, since today is my birthday, I might do just that–talk about me!
Now, this was supposed to be a list of 8’s, but I think 2 will be enough!

This isn’t saying I’m not happy, it just means that I wish happiness for everyone!5 things you may not know about me:1) I am a little paranoid about chicken germs, or salmonella. The only way I like to prepare chicken is by sticking it straight into the crockpot, that way no dishes or knives have touched it, I don’t have to scrub the sink and counter from the juices I rinse down the drain, and I don’t have anything that needs to be cleaned immediately so my kids don’t touch the germs somehow!

2) I, like a couple others, am constantly typing things in my head, even physically with my fingers at times. I also do this while singing hymns, but I play the notes on the piano with that.

3) I have to have the sheets on the bed tucked in at the bottom. Dillon is always kicking them out at night, and if the sheets are untucked or twisted, it kinda drives me crazy!

4) I don’t really like vanilla ice cream. If it has LOADS of good stuff in it, then I’m all for it. I totally love chunky ice cream, but especially is it’s chocolate. Rocky Road is the best! But it has to have marshmallow chunks, not just the swirls. Cold Stone cake batter ice cream with brownies and caramel is also great! Also, while we’re at it, I don’t really like white chocolate.

5) If I have to ask anyone a favor or if I’m calling about ANYTHING rather than to just talk, I’d so much rather leave a message! Then, if they call back, sometimes I don’t answer because if they can’t, I don’t want them to feel bad telling me, I feel like it’s easier for them if they can leave a message!

This made me laugh! I am the same way about chicken! Hate it! Actually I feel that way about all raw meat. I hate it to touch anything and I feel like my hands are never clean even after I wash them a million times! Also I have to totally agree about the phone. I would WAY rather leave a message any day! Especially now that I am the secretary in Young Womens, if I have to call and remind everyone about a meething or something I would rather leave a message because I always feel like such a nag!! ha ha ha ha!

Happy Birthday Christie!! I’m so glad to have you as my friend. The world became a better place today 28 years ago! I also am horrified of salmonella, I unfortunetately took a microbiology class that opened my eyes to the wide world of germs… never been the same… And I also think that unless icecream is loaded with stuff it isn’t worth my time. Have a great day! Celebrate yourself and your life!

Happy Birthday! I don’t like doing tags where I talk about myself either, but I think it is a great way for our posterity to get to know us better…:)

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
