Friday I dropped the boys off at Janina’s and Greg’s (thank you!!!) and went to Wendover with my family to see Collin Raye. It was really a great time. We rode the Fun Bus there, which is a great deal plus a fun time (it better be fun if they claim that name!). The other people on the bus were pretty interesting which made it that much more…interesting (boy, I’m full of new adjectives tonight ain’t I?). Anyways, Sandy was kind of my date since everyone else brought their spouse. It was my Mom and Karl, Mel and Ryan, Dirk, and Heidi, and Sandy and I. I should’ve taken more pictures, but I was lazy that night I guess. The seafood buffet was so yummy–we all ate so much because we had a lot of time before the concert–I really do like Collin Raye a lot. He has a lot of great tunes, either fast ones or slow ones, he did great and sounded really good live. You couldn’t take pictures in the concert though, so none of those…but, here are my gambling winnings…
I was trying to think of all the concerts I’ve been to and thought it would be fun to try and list them at the end here–it’s not as cool as I’d like it to be, but maybe I’ll be motivated to go to more concerts!!! I’ll make a list of people I’d love to see someday (Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley came and we were strapped for money so didn’t see them and I’m still kicking myself over that one!!!):
Matchbox 20
Dixie Chicks opening for Tim McGraw
Martina McBride
Kentucky Headhunters
Sammy Kershaw
Craig Morgan
Little Texas
Tiffany (at BYU–so funny, you know you loved her, come on…just admit it)
Shawn Mullin (along with a few others, but I can’t remember–my friends took my in high school and a bunch of people played that night!)
Collin Raye
Dillon and I went to another concert in some small town that actually had some good ol’ classic country people playing, but I’ll have to ask him who they were since I really can’t remember at all!

What a fun trip with your family! Side note–the sculpture is called “Metaphor: The Tree of Life” by Swedish artist Karl Momen–he financed it himself and donated it to the state to add some color to the Bonneville salt flats. The MOA at BYU has one of his sculptures in their sculpture garden. Yes, I’m a nerd.
