Heber Trip and a fun weekend all around…

July 7, 2008 By Christie

My mom reserved the YW cabins up in Heber for a night and a couple days. We had a ton of fun up there. Before heading up, on the 4th, we went bright and early to fight the herds of people to see the hot air balloons. They started earlier than what was posted online, but we still got to see them float away, and the boys really really loved it. I had two cute videos from this weekend, and I am debating on whether or not to post them because I filmed them on my camera sideways!!! Duh me, I don’t know, I was just taking a lot of pictures and just had the camera turned that way already I guess. Oh well… after the balloons, we went to the Provo parade and then had a picnic next to BYU campus. Boy, being in Provo just brings back some GREAT memories! I might have to save that trip down memory lane for another day when I can scan some old photos though (really, I know you are excited aren’t you). I parked right on the street of the place Dillon and I first lived, so I did take a picture of that:). What a fun weekend! It was great to spend time with family!
First place we lived after we got married–in the basement. We affectionately called it “The Dungeon”. It was dark and spider-infested–and really cold.

I really don’t dress my kids to match all the time–the reason I did today was so that I only had to remember one outfit to see where they were instead of 2:).And now, for my stellar filming capabilities…don’t strain your neck.

Carson and Elise were best buds this trip.

Carson technically wasn’t tall enough (probably by a good 3 inches) to do the obstacle course, but since we told them he tried it last year, thy let him do it again. He totally wanted to get to the zip-line part, but it’s just too scary once you climb about half-way up the pole. I really am amazed at how brave he is about doing stuff like that. He was totally stoked to try it though.

Who doesn’t love smores??? Oh wait, Rachelle doesn’t! Ha, I forgot that when I typed that in! Rachelle, you are missing out on a lot of good calories and sugar…

Paddle boats on the lake. They are a lot more of a work-out than they look! But tons of fun:).

Today I went with Jerry and Sheila with Grandma Rita up to Logan for Amelia and Jason’s baby blessing. Their baby’s name is Katie and she’ll only be 5 months older than our baby girl, so that will be fun that she’ll have a cousin so close to her age. It was fun to see Dillon’s family as well this week!
Tomorrow I head back to Reno for 1 1/2 weeks, then we all come back for the Hurst reunion, then head back for another week, then I’m home for good to get my doctor’s appts in and get ready for this little girl. I can’t believe I have less than 10 weeks left. Summer makes it go faster, even though the heat is worse, there is so much to do that the weeks are flying by! Plus, I’m super excited because I was getting really dizzy, even sitting down, for the last few months. They tested my blood while I had the gestational diabetes test done, and just found my iron was low, so I’m taking an iron pill the rest of the pregnancy, but man has it helped with my dizziness, which is awesome!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
