I heard someone say they don’t make New Year’s resolutions, they do it every week in Sacrament. Well… I’m not that good, so I still made some, and I am going to try my best to do them!
1) Be on time. If you know us, we are almost always late. It wasn’t always this way, I promise! You might also be surprised to know that neither Dillon or I can STAND being late! We hate it! We just are too optimistic about how long it will take us to get places or get out the door. So…yah, I’m working on this one for sure. Hopefully having church at 11 instead of 9 will help. I feel like it is so hard with a nursing baby to get ready and on time to church. BUT I have no excuse anymore–I will definitely do my best at changing this bad habit!
2) Get myself off the computer–I swear, I’m addicted sometimes to the internet. I have a new goal of not spending so much time blogging and commenting on blogs and browsing on the internet. I have to decide on a time limit to spend on the computer each day and keep it. I have spent way way too much time ignoring my kids while on the computer, and I don’t feel good about that. I will still blog the things I want to remember, but hopefully I will do that only for a few minutes at night. I wish my pictures downloaded super duper fast so that it was a bit faster though.
3) Do better at not spending so much, and save! This one will have to be baby steps, since we have an enormous amount of doctor’s bills right now, but luckily we are doing pretty well and are being blessed and being able to pay them off a little at a time. I am actually really excited to save money. I pray that I won’t have the desire to buy everything I want and that I won’t want so much anymore. It’s been working lately, really well actually. But don’t think I’m a hypocrite if you see me buy something that is a want:).
4) Pray more, and recognize the hand of Heavenly Father in my life more. I want to also be more sensitive to the promptings of the Spirit.
5) Visit family more often. I’ve had so much fun seeing so much of both of our families the past couple weeks, and I’m so happy! I love spending time with family and friends, and I want to make that a goal.
That’s all for now. I’m sure I’ll think of more, but I don’t want to overwhelm myself at the moment. I have a ton of goals I’d like to make, but I don’t think they’ll happen anytime soon, like keep up on housework–as my friend Erin said, she knows it’s not going to happen probably, so she’s not making that a resolution. I feel the same way. I’d love a clean house, but really? I know life gets so busy, and I want to make goals that really matter more to me, like improving my relationships with people.

Those are all awesome goals, one of ours is to be on time too. We got really bad over this last year… I also am not excited for you to blog less… it’s always fun to see what you’ve been up to.

Nice resolutions! I need to work on a lot of these things too. And hey – I know how hard it is to get a family WITH a nursing baby to church at 9:00 in the morning! Here’s hoping that 11:00 makes it a little bit easier.

I think your resolutions are great! I know I’m a bit late in commenting because I too have been trying to be better about the computer all together. And believe me, I won’t judge you if I see you in a new shirt! We all need pretty new things once in a while!:)
