Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

February 14, 2009 By Christie

I’ll admit it, I love Valentine’s Day. I’ve heard many people talking about how they don’t like it, and I just…DO! Of course, I loved it in Elementary school, but hated it after the fun days of making mailboxes for your Valentine’s, parties, etc. I hated it until I met Dillon, so I totally remember feeling that way.
Roses from my hun. He came home from working on the house in Lake Point,
and brought a yummy breakfast and these beautiful roses.
But as far as relationships go, I love it. I remember Dillon telling me about his friend he worked with and Dillon was heading off home early for our date, and asked him what he and his wife were gonna do. He said, “We’ve been married 10 years and it’s just another day to us.” Sadness! Seriously, I think it is such a great reminder of our dating years, how kind and loving and considerate we should always be of course. But if we’ve gotten lazy about treating each other so great and trying to impress the other, Valentine’s Day is always a great reminder to me! I love my hubby so much. He is my best friend. I couldn’t think of anyone I’d rather spend eternity with. And I love Valentine’s Day to celebrate our love.
I put the quote from President Hinckley with this pic in the frame, made some
quick chocolate-dipped strawberries, and with the help of my friend Lori at CiCiStudio,
made a cute coupon book with things like “Pesto dinner” and “Go Dancing with you”–
Dillon has ALWAYS wanted to go dancing at some club together and just be crazy,
but I am too awkward a dancer to really ever want to do this, so that really
is a big deal to give him a coupon for that! And what did my hun get me? A beautiful real pearl set with necklace, bracelet, and earrings. Made me all teary-eyed.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

And, a quote by President Hinckley that I am finding more and more to be extremely true:
“I am satisfied that happiness in marriage is not so much a matter of romance as it is an anxious concern for the comfort and well-being of one’s companion. Any man who will make his wife’s comfort his first concern will stay in love with her throughout their lives and through the eternity yet to come.” (Of course I think this completely applies to both the hubby and wife.)

This is awesome! Very sweet and I love the quote. I wish more people in the world could have that kind of love. I feel so blessed to have my husband and I know you feel blessed to have yours. What a blessing it is to have a happy marriage in this world.

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
