I let them each take a turn with the camera as well. I think I’m realizing more and more that although I don’t love the way I look, I will miss not having pictures of the things I do with my kids. I want to have these memories preserved, even if I’d rather not be in the picture…I know someday I will definitely NOT regret taking them. So please don’t think I’m vain by having pictures of me on my blog! I just really want my kids to see that I was there and involved in their lives, and I want to be able to look back and smile, and forget about what I wish I’d looked like instead!

On that note, it’s not like I’m going to start looking better! It’s all downhill from here most likely! Ha ha! I say this completely jokingly because I’m starting to realize more and more that looks just don’t matter. It’s not like I don’t like someone because of the way they look…in fact, I really think there are so many different kinds of beauty. Of course I wish I were beautiful, but what can I do to change it unless I undergo some major surgery!? I’ll do what I can with what I have and just concentrate on loving others and being a good person. It’s sad that I have to re-learn this lesson over and over. That being said, I’m sure it will be one to learn again sometime…this just happens to be a day that I feel okay with me. And I’m NOT fishing for compliments, so don’t worry about trying to make me feel better because I’m not sad about it :).
