old folks sociable

April 1, 2009 By Christie

That picture above was nearly all black, so I did what I could to help see it better. So it’s totally weird!
I almost titled this post “my husband it hot”, because he is. :)
Dillon and “the band” all did such a great job! They did the opening song. Dillon has played in the sociable for the last 5 or 6 years singing and playing his guitar, and only one of those years was not the opening song, so I think they like him:). Chelsi is the name of the gal singing. Jake is on the bass guitar, Taylor the lead guitar, and Bryce on the drums. They all had a blast, and they did an awesome job!
Being in Grantsville is just fun. It is just such a cool hometown feel every time we are there. The people are so nice and friendly, and I just really love how simple life is and laid back. It’s just a great place!
The sound isn’t the best on the video, and they had some issues with Dillon’s microphone at first so you can’t hear him at the beginning at all. But they fixed it eventually and you can pretty much hear them. It of course sounded much better in person, but you get the idea here!

After the sociable, you can go down to the dance in the gym where they have a live band. So after our dinner, we headed down there. Bailey was giving Dillon’s parents a hard time, so Sheila ran her to the school so we had her at the dance with us. Talk about smiles from everyone around! I love how people just love babies so much, and can basically start a conversation with anyone holding a baby. It’s the best! We slow-danced with Bailey. I’ll never forget the happy little feeling I got from my hun holding me with one arm, Bailey in his other arm, and Bailey leaning over to hug me and chew on my shoulder and soak it with slobber. Pure joy, I tell you. Not to mention the many grins around us from watching the scene. I really feel so blessed to have what I have. Life is so great! (I know, there is a whole blog called Seriously So Blessed mocking posts like this, but it’s truly how I feel right now!)

They are SO good! I kind of hate “Seriously So Blessed” because it makes me self concious of everything I write on my blog. Sometimes we are seriously so blessed and that is OK! I often wonder what it would be like to live in a town like Grantsville. I think I would love it!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
