This Saturday there is a fundraiser in Riverton for a woman who has a rare form of breast cancer. Here is the information on the flyer we have:
“In June, Julie, a 33 year old m other of two (ages 4 and 8 months), was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer. She was initially told the cancer had spread to her spine and ovaries and there would be no cure, giving her approximately two years to live. The family looked to the Lord for help and after the next series of tests, the cancer was gone from her spine and ovaries, giving her a slim chance of recovery. There are few treatment options available and her family needs a miracle in order to save her life. Julie wants nothing more than to raise her beautiful children and grow old with her husband, Brandon. She is determined to overcome this life-and-death struggle, but she needs your help. Julie is currently undergoing treatment, which has left her tired and frail. The medical bills are staggering. Together we can help her combat this terrible disease and give her peace of mind while she fights for her life.
To meet her financial needs we are raising money in order to provide her with the treatment she requires. We are Funding a Miracle.
Fun activities for the entire family! Food, Entertainment, Games, Raffles and Silent Auction!
To donate, please contact Debbie Neff at (801)254-5909 or (801)254-9400. “
The Miracle Carnival is at the Dr. Roi Hardy Park on 12400 S. 1200 W in Riverton, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. My sister, Janina, knows Debbie from church. Dillon’s band Forty Days will be playing there around 1:30 pm (it might be sooner or later). I called and talked a little bit with Debbie, and she said they have gotten many awesome donations. Plus, it costs nothing to get in, and raffle tickets, hot dogs, games, etc. are only going to be around $1.00, so it is affordable (much cheaper than any fairs around here!). It should be a lot of fun, and of course the BIGGEST reason is to help out this family. It just brings tears to my eyes thinking of her situation, especially with her two young children. Post this on your blog, email it, talk about it. Let’s help out this family!

That would be fun to go to, but we're celebrating Easton's birthday that day, bummer. Have fun and good luck!
