Wow, What a Christmas Season!

December 21, 2009 By Christie

The following pictures sum up nicely what we’ve been up to the past month! They are even in order:).
Enjoyed dressing Bailey in this dress from Rachelle.

Went to see some friends and family in their Nutcracker Ballet. I took the boys, and they LOVED it. Everyone did great. Devon kept clapping SO loud and hard, and he told me that meant he really really liked it. He also told me that sometimes he twirls like they do. Cute!

Made 25 tissue pouches for gifts! This was actually really fun to me. I loved giving hand-made gifts!
The boys decorated the tree on their own. We had planned on getting a real tree for a family tree, but due to our crazy circumstances lately, we opted to just make “my fancy” tree the family tree. Carson told me that my tree was boring just being silver, anyways.

Finished Bailey’s stocking! Dillon and I got to go to The Forgotten Carols. It had been probably over 8 years since we last saw it! I loved it, as always. They have changed it a little, but I liked the changes. The melodies are even a little different than before. It was a great way to get in the Christmas Spirit.
Visited Santa at the library.
Finished the final touches on hiding the ugly baby food jars for freezer jam gifts.
Made some babylegs out of socks for Bailey to wear under her pants and help keep her warm. She hates to wear socks, but these help so that she can’t get them off as easy.
Went to Carson’s Christmas Program at school. He got to be the calendar marker. He crossed out the days, and then jumped up and down with excitement for Christmas Day. He sang REALLY loud and cute. I loved watching him. He was so happy. He also recently signed up for wrestling!
Went to a great cousin party my sister Rachelle put on. She gave them some great goodies bags with these bell necklaces and Bailey especially loves to wear it everywhere.

Went to the Ward Christmas Party. Bailey was not impressed with Santa.

Dillon and Rick (his buddy in Forty Days) were the entertainment at the ward party. They did great, and Carson sang great with the Primary, Bailey danced, and Devon was sad because he was too shy to do anything.
The boys slept under the Christmas Tree one night.

Took our Christmas Sunday pictures. Notice Bailey isn’t with me in the picture? It’s cause she was screaming for Dillon, because when he is around, she wants nothing to do with me. It’s actually a nice break, because the rest of the day when he isn’t home, she’s pretty clingy to me.
Finished this crayon roll for the boys (two, with their first name initial) and this crayon roll for Bailey. I think these might become birthday gifts for children we know:). Though they are definitely NOT perfect. One crayon barely fit into the slot on the end because after sewing everything, it just didn’t work out! But it was fun, and actually, besides Bailey’s stroller she’s getting, I am the most excited about these presents for the kids!

In addition to all of that, there has been much baking, , decorating sugar cookies, making caramels, fun VT appointments, shopping for an anonymous 4 year old boy for Christmas (we made it into an FHE about giving and the boys were SO excited about it…we ended up picking a Thomas train and track, and the boys are positive he’ll love it), sending Christmas cards, and of course, the decorating and shopping. I started out a bit stressed, but now I look back and really have had a great Christmas Season.
The Christmas Program in church yesterday was really good. I was happy to feel the Spirit and feel more in the Christmas mood.

And last night, I got to hang out with some great friends! I love you girls!

This week, we plan to visit some family, go to Temple Square, and drive around looking at lights around town here! Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas Season! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

Holy Cow! You are a woman of many talents–organizing your time being one of them–I don't know how you managed to fit that all in on top of the regular stuff–way to go! :)

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
