I made some rice pudding that was actually pretty good. I don’t love the rice chunks, and neither did Devon. He said, “Mom, it tastes really good. Maybe next time you should leave out the rice.” I helped in Dev’s class on Monday. He said, “Mom, was it too bad I didn’t get to sit at your table for centers?” I said that yes, it was too bad. He said, “yah, that’s a dangit.” I was talking to the kids about the war in heaven and how blessed we are to live peacefully where we are now. Carson said, “Well, if we were all Legos, that would be good because then we can just be put back together if we got hurt.” I was getting ready the other day when I saw Bailey with my contacts case. She kept dipping her finger in and then touching her eye, like she was putting in contacts:). Devon was trying to say twentieth. Instead he came out with TWUNFEE. Cute kid. Bailey ran in the kitchen today and said, “Howdy, Mommy!” While driving today, Devon said, “Mom, what if someone was glittering on the road with rocks or garbage?” My friend Rachel was at the school when she saw Carson and Devon together at recess, with their arms around each other and smiling. She said Hi and they said, “We found each other!” Carson asked if his Kindergarten teacher was going to be at any of our reunions this last summer. I said no. He said, “Why not? She’s one of our ancestors!” Devon was being really sweet and gave me a pat. While patting me, he smiled huge and said, “There’s a pat for ya!” Devon said, “I have a side gramp in my head.” They say gramp instead of cramp. Devon thinks that the area people live in is called a world. He asked on our way to some friends house an hour away, “What is their world like?” When Bailey talks about something that is big, she doesn’t ever say big, she always says HUGE! I went to help in Devon’s class today. I missed the first part of Dev’s conversation with his friend. All I heard when I sat down was, “Well, I actually have TWO girlfriends. Allie, and my MOM.” Then he looked at me and grinned so big:). Devon accidentally spilled his juice at lunch, and I admit that I was acting annoyed with him. As I was cleaning it up he said, “Mom, sometimes I just make mistakes.” So sweet, and so true. Why overreact over something so small!? Devon signed his name on Carson’s birthday card. Carson read his name out loud, “Dev…” and Devon got excited and said, “That’s me!” Bailey was extremely ornery on the way home from Ryan and Mel’s house yesterday. I said, “Bailey, are you so sleepy?” She yelled, “No mommy! I’m TIRED!!!”

Rice pudding – I made some the other day, no one ate it except me. I love it. They sell it in the stores here along side the yogurts.
