Dev was so sweet and got up all on his own to say his testimony in Sacrament today. I had been asking Carson and don’t even think that Devon heard me when he said, “Mom, I’m going to tell my testimony.” Well, he finished, and got back and we hugged him and everything. Bailey gets down off of Dillon’s lap and starts walking up the aisle and said, “I’m going to go say my testimony!” When we made her stay with us, she was SO not happy and kept saying, “I want to say my testimony!!!”
I told Bailey, “You have big beautiful brown eyes!” She replied in a very offended tone, “No I don’t!” I asked her what color they were and she said, “They’re pink!”
One of my favorite things that Devon says is, “Don’t tell me! I like surprises!” So it goes with many situations. “Mom, what are we having for dinner?–wait don’ttellmeilikesurprises!!!”
Carson was talking about this kid he calls a mean bully in his class. I am not too concerned because he tells me this kid is mean to everyone. Not that I like it, but at least he is aware it’s not just him getting picked on. So he told me about how this kid pushed him down. I didn’t realize that Bailey was listening nor even understanding, but as soon as he said that, she didn’t even look up from playing with her Jell-o and said, “Oh, poor Carson. That’s so sad.”
I was telling Carson about what will be going on for his birthday. We just happen to have a trip to St. George planned, not because of his birthday, but because my fam is going down there that weekend. Anyways, I told him what would happen and he sat there in disbelief, shaking his head and smiling slowly until he finally said, “That’s going to be the best day of my life.”
So I guess my boys totally have girlfriends. This was all new news to me. Carson was talking about his girlfriend from LAST year was at recess. So I said, “So you have a girlfriend this year?” And he smiled and said, “Yah! Madison.” I asked what it means to have a girlfriend and he said, “It means that you LOVE them!” To which Devon said, “I love you, Mom! You’re my girlfriend.” Carson was about to correct him but I quickly stopped him. Then Devon told me about his girlfriend named Morgan in his class. I do not remember having/talking/wanting a boyfriend in kindergarten and first grade!!! Where did they get this from???
Bailey said something that Devon thought was funny, so he was talking to me and said, “She’s all _________.” and told me what she did and said. After he was done telling me, Bailey said, “That’s cute, Dev.”
I asked Bailey if she was poopy. She answered, “No. I went last year.”
Devon isn’t a picky eater at all, which is great. The other night I made some stroganoff and he was eating it and Mmmm’ing the whole time. He said, “Mom, you should be on TV by now, with your own cooking show or something!” So sweet! Then Carson said, “Or a jewelry show or fashion show, since you make great stuff.”
