Bailey is cute–NOT awesome.

March 31, 2011 By Christie

Conversation with Bailey as I tucked her into bed:

Me:    Bailey, you are so awesome.
B:       No I’m not!  I’m not awesome.  I’m cute.  You’re cute too.
Me:     But Bailey, being awesome is a GOOD thing.  It means you are cool.
B:        I’m not cool and not awesome.  Just cute.  You’re cute too.
Me:     Thanks, but I think you are awesome.
B:        ….well mostly, the raisins don’t make my head feel better because raisins don’t have arms.
Me:      …..?
B:        Raisins don’t have arms, Mom.
Me:     The raisins don’t make your owie on your head feel better because they don’t have arms?
B:        No, they don’t have arms.  I’m cute.  You’re cute too.  Not cool or awesome.  Brothers are cool, and awesome.

Okay–the raisins without arms thing totally reminds me of a joke you told me when we were Freshman about a couple of strawberries on a swing and one freaked out because they didn't have any legs–do you remember this?

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
