I’m gonna start working backwards on posts for a bit because I start to forget details that I don’t want to forget! I might just back-post them so they will still be in order of occurrence though. My kids woke up at 7:00 (always on the weekends they wake up early for some reason, but on school days I have to drag them out of bed by 8:15!) and I could hear them excitedly talking about Mother’s Day and telling each other to be quiet so they didn’t wake me up, or to stop fighting because “mom wouldn’t want us to fight on Mother’s Day!” Devon made me a sign on the door. Breakfast was brought to me in bed about 8:30, along with the kids’ presents to me. Bailey’s card (with help from Daddy): Devon’s card, weaved basket, squash plant, and a DVD with him reading a book to me. His card says (I’m fixing the cute mistakes): Happy Mother’s Day 2012. Thank you for…signing me up for school, making meals for me. Being my Mommy. Helping me in math and spelling. (and the back says I Love You. Carson’s gift: A fun book he made at school where he tells me things he likes…most of it was about the food I make that he likes. Funny. I didn’t really get to sleep in since the kids were up so early, but I did get to lay in bed until 9:14. :) Which was heaven. And I got a bike!!! Yahoo! I’ve been wanting a new bike for a while and Dillon was sweet and surprised me with one. I had ordered a refurbished camera lens earlier in the week for my present since he told me to, so he tricked me by getting me a bike as well. I walked into the garage to get Devon’s bike out and found a really cute bike for me! I am SO excited for it. The kids sang cute in Sacrament meeting today also. My favorite part was Devon lifting Bailey up since she was behind a few kids and we couldn’t see her. She’s heavy for him, so each time only lasted a couple seconds, but the look on his face and Bailey’s was so cute. Dillon and the kids treated me extra good all day. Dillon spent an hour fixing my bike up, tightening and tweaking things, and I got to sleep for a half hour nap. Then we went to visit his mom that night and had a good visit with his parents and brother’s family. Then it was home, kids in bed, and we watched a movie! A great day! I’m SO SO SO thankful to be a mother. And SO SO SO thankful I get to stay home with them because of my hard working hubby. Lately I wake up every morning and just smile and say a prayer of thanks because I’m so blessed to have this great little family of mine!

What a fun Mother's Day you had. Your kids are so sweet and talented.
Kyle is getting me a bike for a present as well, though we haven't picked one out yet. What did you get? I'm trying to decide if I should get a hybrid and what features to look for. Any thoughts?
