Bailey’s Baptism Day

October 9, 2016 By Christie

Such a special day! Bailey had been looking forward to this day for months and months! She was SO excited it was finally here. dsc_0002

Ruby had to get in on the action :).

Carson trying to be taller than Dillon. He’s even in height with me now. Tall tall kiddo. Devon keeps hoping his growth spurt hits soon ;).

We had a yummy little luncheon afterwards where everyone pitched in to help bring food, and Bailey felt so special by all the kindness and gifts showered on her. She really felt so special. We combined with her friend in the ward, Jenna. So on our side of the family, Bailey asked Janina to say a prayer, and Rachelle to play the piano, and my Aunt Sandy to give a talk on the Holy Ghost. They all did an excellent job.

When she went in the font she just had such a cute smile on her face, and when she came out of the water she was beaming. She said she felt so so happy. It was the first time I was able to help one of my baptized kiddos get dressed afterwards, and I enjoyed that special time just the two of us. When she was confirmed, Jerry, Karl, Ryan, Eric, my Grandpa, my Uncle Dirk, and Greg were all in the circle (and of course Dillon). It’s so neat watching your kids take steps towards living with Heavenly Father again! I’m so thankful for worthy Priesthood holders in my family.

We have such wonderful family. I love how close and supportive they all are. It’s a blessing for sure. dsc_0008 dsc_0009 dsc_0010 dsc_0011 dsc_0014 dsc_0015 dsc_0016 dsc_0017 dsc_0018 dsc_0019 dsc_0025

It was also neat to notice the changes in Bailey the months following up to her being baptized. Her mindset of right and wrong and her desiring so much to do good. She is such a happy girl. I love to be around her because she is always happy, kind, helpful, and so sweet. Here is the paragraph I had them read at the baptism:

Bailey is such a happy girl who is so sweet, smart, and kind. She loves to ride horses, loves school, loves to draw, loves being outside, and enjoys playing the piano. She is always so positive and loves to look for the best in every situation and in everyone she knows. She is a wonderful friend and a kind sister. She is a hard worker and loves to help out at home! Bailey is so excited to get baptized today and has been looking forward to it for months! She loves Heavenly Father, and the Savior, and loves going to church and growing her sweet testimony. She is such an obedient little girl and we love her so much!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
