After piano lessons on the boring Monday

January 15, 2008 By Christie

Okay, so the day ended pretty well. I got done with piano lessons and decided to take the boys to the park. We did brave the cold, and Devon almost ended up with frozen snot coming out his nose (Dumb and Dumber anyone?). I wish I didn’t hate being cold so badly. I asked Carson why he had his hand raised like that in the pictures, and he said it was for baptizing someone. Dillon went to a Jazz game with his Dad tonight, and I so didn’t want to fix dinner, and a vegetarian burrito with grilled corn and carmelized onions with cucumber ranch dressing on top just sounded really scrumptious, so that’s where the boys and I ate for dinner. Yum! I saved some for later tonight:). We got home from dinner and played our favorite games. Tonight it was Candyland and Memory, yesterday it was Chutes and Ladders and Hi-Ho Cherry-O. They are all fun games (thank you Sheila and Jerry!). Carson has a tough time sometimes, but he’s getting it and as soon as we used the line “Keep Moving Forward” from Meet the Robinson’s, he was great! Devon is very patient and all smiles the whole time. It’s fun! I like playing games with them!

You are very brave to go out all the way to the park in this weather. Just thinking about it makes me freeze. Easton would be very jealous though. He keeps asking me if we can go to the park, but all the equipment is buried in snow. And hey, I’m always up for a play date. :) Too bad we live so dang far away.

I wish we could have a play date too. Except, with sickness like it is at our house, you wouldn’t want to get together with us! But my kids love Chutes and Ladders too. Is it as hard for Carson as it is for Ethan to figure out which direction the numbers go?

Don’t worry, once you have your little guy here, you won’t be able to stop taking pictures–you will think they are the absolute cutest thing in the whole world!

I agree, very brave. We have several parks pretty close to us. My kids would be in heaven for about 15 minutes till thier noses were frozen. I’d love to set up a play date too. But you live in Tooele right?

Yah, we’re in Tooele County. Where are you living Jenni?

Kael has asked if we can go to the park and I told him not until there is no snow and we don’t have to wear coats. lol. I wish my kids would play board games. I recently threw all of ours away because all they did was get the pieces out and scatter them all over the house. Kael has no patience for set rules when it comes to playtime. lol.

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
