Imagine..

December 11, 2008 By Christie

Imagine you are with your kids and your little 3 year old is so excited to deliver the neighborhood Christmas gifts. He knocks on the door for 15 seconds, rings the doorbell 5 times, just to make sure the people are home. They answer, his face lights up, and he smiles and sweetly says “Merry…

Laughter

December 9, 2008 By Christie

I was in Target last night getting the last of my kids’ shopping done, and decided I better look for something for Bailey as well. I was looking at the rattles, unaware that she was totally watching my every move. I shook a rattle to test it out, and I hear a giggle. I turn,…

Update on Bailey

December 9, 2008 By Christie

Her stitches, which were numbered around 85, are starting to come out now! Especially on the sides since that’s where she turns her head and rubs it on things. I also included a picture of the side shot of her head shape. It’s looking so good! She’s doing great–like it never happened:). I wish I…

Christmas Traditions

December 9, 2008 By Christie

I was sitting by the Christmas tree last night all lit up (in fact, this very tree you see pictured), and just thought about how much I love doing that. It’s one of my favorite things to do around Christmas, is listen to Christmas music and sit by the tree in the dark and just…

Thanks Janina!

December 9, 2008 By Christie

My sister Janina made me a beautiful tree skirt. You really have to see it in real life to realize how many hours and hours she spent on this thing. It is amazing! I love it!

Oh Christmas Tree

December 9, 2008 By Christie

So, every year growing up, I remember going as a family to pick out the best Christmas tree for our buck, and lovin’ it. I loved that tradition! Until the day my mom went artificial when we were teenagers. That was a sad day… So, why, may you ask, do WE have an artificial tree?…

Hip Hop Bailey

December 9, 2008 By Christie

Carson put his hat on her this way and asked me if she looked like a Hip Hop girl. I guess he saw the commercial for a Hip Hop Harry or something before? We’ve never seen it, but he even talks about commercials like it’s an old show he used to watch.

Sagittal Craniosynostosis Blog

December 8, 2008 By Christie

I decided that if I do feel the need to go private, I wanted to start another blog just with our experience and updates on Bailey and her surgery she had. So…anyone who follows this blog for that purpose but still wants to know how things are going with her, you can look there. I’m…

Grandma and a Wonderful Sunday!

December 8, 2008 By Christie

As I’ve said before, my Grandma is an amazing woman, with the best sense of humor. Tonight she was chatting with me while I had to be another room with our family get together. She told me that her and my Grandpa have been putting Bailey’s name on the temple roll every week, and they…

The results are in! Drum roll please…

December 3, 2008 By Christie

Bailey had her weight check today (and 6 nasty immunization shots, poor girl), and she weighs 9 lbs. 13 oz.! She’s gained over a pound in the last 2 weeks and is now in the whopping 15% for weight. I don’t know about you, but I’m celebrating. Especially since she won’t take a bottle which…

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
