Superheroes to the Rescue!!!

September 10, 2007 By Christie

Carson is 4!!! Yesterday was his birthday, and Saturday (after his soccer game below) was his superhero party! He loved it, and I think the other kids had a lot of fun as well. It was really fun to plan too! First while everyone arrived we colored pictures of bad guys. We went outside to test if everyone was a true superhero. So first we lit candles and they had to shoot out the flame with a squirt bottle. Then they had to show off their superhero moves while popping the bubbles from the bubble machine. After that we decorated their superhero transportation (paper airplanes) and flew those around for a while. They had proven they were true superheroes, so they were each awarded their own mask and cape. We taped their bad guys up to the garage and they got to shoot them with silly string. Dillon went inside to dress up as a bad guy while I explained we needed to find the bad guy responsible for the missing cupcakes. The only way to get the cupcakes was by tickling him. Dillon walked out throwing ice cubes at them all and they chased him down to get the cupcakes. Then we ate those and ice cream and opened presents! Carson loved it.
I can’t believe my boy is 4! We sure love our Carson. He’s full of life and a joy to be around. Man, I feel old now. His famous lines opening presents, “I never had this before!” and yesterday morning he said, “It’s my birthday again? This is the best birthday I ever had!”

I wish Ethan could have come to that party! It looks like they all had a great time. Can you believe he is 4? It’s crazy how time flies. I remember when he was born, and I came down to visit (and help with dishes!) I miss you.

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
