I just love love LOVE the days that my boys entertain themselves together and get along. They only fought a couple times all day, and the rest were giggles and getting into trouble together (but hey, at least they were on the same team rather than opponents!). Carson was a really good brother to Devon today. He packed his backpack and asked if they could go camping in the living room together. So I got out our broken little igloo tent and they played in that the whole time I made dinner. Now that is a ‘thin slice of heaven’ (as my brother Eric used to say!).
For dinner we had some scrumptious chicken n’ dumplings. I asked Devon to say the word dumplings and he said, “Well, that word is too hard for me.” Devon has been really into who is a girl and who is a boy. He seriously tells me who is what all day long, even his stuffed animals and people in the store.
Carson is a sweetheart when he wants to be. Today I had 3 piano lessons, one girl kept saying one of the songs was too hard, and Carson heard her and told her, “Let go of the past, and keep moving forward!” (from Meet the Robinsons–man I love that movie now!) He also made sure I was nice and tucked in on the couch while I got some rest and Devon got me his blankie. I love days like this.

Ahhh… what sweet boys you have. I love days like that. Man, I wish I could be like you and cook dinner all the time. Seth wishes that too. :)
