What a great name! Makes me laugh. I know some friends who have wanted to or have made one, so I decided to give it a try since they seem pretty nice. They do look like a big bib, but they are cute nonetheless and work well, it seems. I think I’d make the straps longer next time, and maybe the boning part in the neck that bows out not as long, but they turned out well! Here is the place I found the instructions to make them–complete with pictures: Hooter Hider Tutorial. Very easy and a lot better than $40.00 to buy the real deal! (I made two that look pretty different just so I wouldn’t get really tired of just one pattern all the time!)
I was thinking, people have sure come up with a ton of cute baby items to buy/make that you don’t really need, but are just cute and handy–even since having Devon! What a fun time to have babies!

These are way cute. They almost look like you could turn them into an apron after finishing up nursing. I love the material!

I was so skeptical of these when I first saw them, but I used a friend’s and loved it. So now I have my own (Target clearance!) I so wish I would have had one with my others. They really are handy. And yours turned out super cute!

Do you want to know what my response was when I read your blog?? “What the Hell?” I am guessing those are so you can breast feed in somewhat privacy… Am I right? I sure hope I am right! Just be like the pioneers were and whip it out! Just teasing! When are you due?
Christie says
Ha Ha Brittney! You are funny–yes you are right, they are nursing covers:). I’m due Sept. 12.
