Redneck Roundup (or the Hurst Reunion)

July 22, 2008 By Christie

For the Hurst Reunion this year we went up Ophir Canyon. We had a fun-filled couple of days. The kids couldn’t get enough of it and were sad to leave. There are LOADS of pictures, so bear with me! The kids loved driving the 4-wheeler (Rhino). Dillon and I and the boys took it up on the mountain. It was really bumpy and honestly a little scary–we seriously almost tipped it over but Dillon put his arm out and pushed us back up (yah, he’s tough–I will say that it says not to do that, but he luckily didn’t smash his arm). BUT, it really did tip over when my niece Natalie was driving with almost all the kids on it. Jared got the worst of it, but some came back crying, some came back laughing.
Devon’s bathroom was the creek.
Carson chose this skinny tree to attempt a pee, that was right by where we were all eating–luckily I caught him before his pants were down and we all got dinner and a show. Isn’t my husband sweet???
Grandpa had just rescued Devon cause he got scared when the horse got a little skittish.

Carson: Hey, great idea Jared. Let’s both squirt me in the face!
This one’s for you Turley:)!
Treasures that Carson and Devon brought to me:).

I brought my tempera paint and we did some face painting.

Carson learned to skip rocks–thanks Grandma Sheila!

I’m about camped/vacationed out after this summer! It’s made my pregnancy go so fast and gotten my mind off of stresses, but I kind of feel like I’ve been packing and unpacking all summer long!
(For a good laugh, read at least the first newest quote from Devon on the side.)

The comment from Devon was probably the best thing I have heard in a long time!! I never realized that your boys look almost exactly like your husband! What a cute little family you have!

Okay, yea, that comment from Devon is one of the funniest things ever. So are you done packing for the summer? Are you home now just getting ready for your baby girl?

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
