Dedication to Messes

January 26, 2008 By Christie

Devon’s 1st BirthdayDevon at Hurst Reunion
K, just guess what was all over the floor! (And silly boy, didn’t even know that was on his head:)
Heber Valley Camp
Mascara anyone?Sure glad he didn’t flush these down. (or try to)Camping
This was a beautiful loaf of banana bread.Carson. Oh Carson.
This is a repeat picture, and Devon saw it and said, “Let’s get the medicine again and do that!” (desitin)Can’t remember what was in the bowl, but it was gross. Tired of PB & J sandwiches???
Carson’s 1st Birthday. We ended up wheeling him home in our cooler he was so messy!

My boys make plenty of them. To help me not get so mad, I take pictures, as I think I’ve stated before. Tell me I’m not the only one who doesn’t watch their kids’ every move 24/7. I’m really quite bummed because I have a great one somewhere with footprints in flour all over the kitchen (Devon), and also the day we moved into this house, Carson got into the vaseline while Sheila and I unloaded the kitchen boxes, and thought it made some great hair gel for him and Devon. I swear that stuff stayed in their hair for a week. Today, I didn’t get pictures of this (for everyone’s sake!). Devon was yelling saying he was poopy, and I went upstairs and he had taken off his poopy diaper and laid down–so so gross and messy all over the carpet. Disgusting. That one I just couldn’t shrug off with a picture.

Wow, I can’t believe you have the presence of mind to take pictures! I just get frustrated! Those are some pretty great pictures. Good for you (for being patient, that is)!

I will have to try the picture thing instead of getting mad at the messes. Thanks for the tip!

I love that you take pictures of their messes, they will make for some funny memories, maybe not at the time but definitely down the road!

Oh dear–I suppose this is what I have to look forward to. I’ll remember to take pictures and see if that helps while I’m cleaning up all sorts of messes. :)

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
