The Prodigal Dog Returns
After 5 days of being gone, at least 10 pounds lost, hurt legs, bruised, and smelling like a skunk, Rosco returned to us sometime last night!!! I am amazed he made it back. He must have gotten lost and couldn’t find his way home. Yesterday I had gone to two of the animal shelters here in Tooele County, and called the other one. None of them were Rosco (as much as my kids wanted them to be). Lo and behold, he was in the backyard this morning! Crazy. I was beginning to think he’d been hit by a car, as much as I wanted to believe a nice family had found him. He’s pretty mellow today, not jumping on us or anything, so it’s been pleasant, and my boys are thrilled, so I’m happy too (seeing as how every time they’d go outside they’d yell for him). He looks pretty bad, so I don’t think he’ll be taking off anytime soon!
okay you should re-name his pigeon since he knew where his home was and he came back….that is just crazy, i wonder what he was up to while he was gone?
Hopefully everything that he went through while he was gone will keep him kinda mellow. Glad he’s back!
Wow!! What a dog…. nothing like a doogie finding his way back home to his boys ;)
What an exciting day for the family!
Wow! What an awesome dog. I think that’s pretty amazing.
On a side note, I can’t believe only 4 days til your due date!! Have you had your baby? Ahhh! So exciting!
