It happened…Rosco ran away. Now, many of you may think that I somehow arranged for this little event to happen, seeing as how I didn’t normally have kind words to say about the dog, but alas, I am saddened by it–but only because my kids are sad. The storm Sunday night must have spooked him pretty bad, and he got some type of super-strong jaws for a while, because he chewed through his kennel. You read that right–the dang dog chewed through chain-link fence to get out! Now, he’s been known to venture off, but always comes back, even after a few hours–we’ve always thought that was cool that he stuck around even after having been out in the “real” world. We have no idea how long he was gone that night, waited for him to come back on Monday, and just never has! So, my dear midnight friend who liked to dig holes in my garden, poop right by the swing-set, knock the boys over by being a bit to rough, even liked to knock me down once in a while…goodbye!
Don’t even ask how he could have fit through that hole–again, I plead innocent!
*UPDATE* We checked all 3 animal shelters in the valley–he isn’t in any of them:(. The boys are sad. Hope he is happy, wherever he is!

I’ll bet you opened the gate and ran him off the property and then took some wire cutters or something and made the whole yourself. Just kidding. I’ll bet the kids are really sad, but at least you don’t have to deal with that stress anymore. Well, maybe, I bet he comes back to haunt you and one night he’ll have his revenge on you by waking the entire neighborhood and digging up your whole front yard. I hope for your kids sake he comes back but I hope for your sanity that he doesn’t.
