In primary today, the kids’ teachers helped them fill in the blanks of these cute little thank you cards. I loved them!
Carson’s:
I especially appreciate the way you…treat me right.
I love it when you cook…it makes me happy.
Thanks for teaching me…to obey the commandments.
You’re the best because…you are special.
Devon’s:
I especially appreciate the way you…help us draw pictures.
I love it when you cook…rolls.
Thanks for teaching me…ballet.
You’re the best because…you’re nice to me.
I don’t know when I’ve taught ballet, but that’s the funniest thing! I loved it all.
I was putting Bailey to sleep tonight, and Carson was laying on the bed in her room and asked me to tell him a story.
I told him a story about Prince Carson and Princess June and how it was nice that she was beautiful, but more importantly, she chose the right and was kind to others and helped them and was a good person. The story ended with him fighting all sorts of bad creatures to save her and then of course they dated for a long time and THEN fell in love…you know, the normal dreams you have as a parent for your children.
I got done with the story and Carson smiled at me and said, “Mom, I love that story. It makes me think about how you teach me to obey the commandments and choose the right, and that’s why I just love you so much!”
Being a mom and wife is pretty much the best thing ever.

Your boys are hilarious…sweet, insightful (when you least expect it!), and caring. And yes, you are the best mom ever!

You have such good boys! I wish we were closer so I could learn some of your parenting techniques!

Once again, Devon has the best line ever, “Thanks for teaching me ballet.” I’m sure Dillon LOVED that!
