I forgot to post the fun fliers the boys made for their lemonade stand. They just handed them out on our street. It was the only way to convince them to wait a day so I could have more time to make the cookies and prepare to help them more. I LOVE the lemon and the cookies in the words. So cute. The boys drew a million pictures of people. Here are just some from our family. I forgot to take a picture of Carson and Devon’s self-portraits, but they are pretty cute too. They wouldn’t focus no matter what I’d do, so the pictures aren’t very clear or bright. Apparently I’m a giant though:). Bailey Carson’s school does some fun t-shirts where each kid draws a self-portrait and then you get a t-shirt with all the classmates in it. Dillon says Carson’s picture resembles Obama. I totally see that! But don’t you think that Carson is quite the artist? It’s really a good picture. A couple weeks ago I went for the first time to an absolutely lovely fabric store called Pine Needles. It’s in Gardener Village and it is my new favorite store of all stores. Just beautiful items they’ve made, quilts, the displays, the designer fabrics, everything. Oh man, I could spend a lot of time (and money) there. So anyways, we were walking out the the van (my kids and I) and I said, “Someday boys, I’m going to have a fun fabric shop and call it the same as my business name, the Lemon Squeezy Shop.” Oh my goodness. They just took that idea and ran with it! SOOOOO cute. I loved all the creative and awesome things they were saying about our future family Fabric Shop. I wrote down all their ideas, and just barely realized that I threw it away, but I’ll try and remember my favorites:
-free 2 hour back scratches and massages -playground inside with movies -Subway inside -Devon and Carson will be cutting the fabric -when people come into the store, we ask them, “How are you?” They will then say good or bad, like, “I’m sick!” or something (Carson’s words exactly) Dillon’s on the roof building it. Carson’s on the ladder helping to paint and Devon’s watering the plants. The “Mall” on the envelope is the Mail. And the bird? That’s a “Balden Eagle”. Love it!

Cute fliers! It's so hard to keep everything your kids draw. Taking pictures of it is a great way to not take up space. If you kids are anything like mine, I get at least 10 pictures a day.
Our elementary school does the same thing with t-shirts. I think it's cute!
