George Strait!

July 20, 2009 By Christie

Dillon’s brother Brad and his wife Laurie had a family reunion planned for the night of the concert, so we got to go instead of them (sorry guys…thanks a bunch though!). It was so awesome, and fun to hang out with Jason and Amelia. I love this picture of them. It’s so…them! We love you guys!
Blake Shelton opened for him, but we only caught the last 3 songs of his, but he was really good. Julianne Hough from “Dancing With the Stars” was on before Blake Shelton, but we missed all of hers, thanks to the traffic making it take 2 hours to get there! Insanity. I hate traffic.
There are all sorts of people at these things. Dillon and I decided that there is probably a good portion who are only there to party. You would not believe how many drunk people there were! And many-a scantily clad women as well. So you know, it attracts all sorts of awesome-ness. The funniest drunk girl I saw was dancing with two other men in a circle, and eventually, she pulled off her cowboy hat to wave above her head. I should have video’d it, because every time she’d sway her hat to the left, she’d knock the older man next to them in the head–EVERY TIME! Totally made me laugh. The guy totally jumped, like he was surprised it happened…every time. Too funny. He was probably drunk too:).
BUT, George Strait was AWESOME! He is so classy, and just a clean, good, God-fearin’ man. I love that about him! He didn’t talk much, but what he did say was nice or funny.
Afterwards, it took us just 1 hour and 30 minutes to move out of the parking lot. But it was okay cause I got to spend time with my hun and talk and I just felt care-free and in love and young:). Great night! Yea for concerts! Anyone wanna go see Brad Paisley with us there in September??? I’m pretty sure we’re going!

P.S. Beer stinks.
‘Heartland’ is probably my favorite song of his. Although, it’s pretty hard to narrow it down–he has so many great songs.

(for some reason, he sounds a bit off-key on all my videos, but we were all noticing how exactly the same he sounds, and he really was so great. So don’t let the video fool you, he sounded awesome live).

How fun! Christie, if we were there, we'd totally go to see Brad Paisley with you–we saw him a few years ago with Carrie Underwood and it was a great concert!

Ha ha! Just imagining that drunk girl with the hat made me laugh out loud. How funny. And what a fun night, even with sitting in the car for so much time.
Your boys are so cute and sweet! And Bailey too! :)

So fun! I would love to go and see Brad Paisley…one of my faves, for sure. Jake actually said something about going to see it as a buddy of his has some tickets. Maybe I should see what it's all about and we can rendezvous with you guys. Jake + Country Music…I gotta see this!

I haven't been to a concert since I've been married, and I can only imagine how different it would be. However, George Strait is pretty clean, so at least all you had to worry about were ddrunk ladies hittin you in the head with their hats. . .

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
