We’ve done this type of thing before, where Dillon and I talk about spending more one-on-one time with the boys. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about it again, and I have been feeling badly because we give SO much attention to Bailey all the time. Either when she’s happy and we’re oozing over her cuteness, or when she’s screaming and we can’t hear anyone but her. So I’ve made a pledge to myself to do better at making my boys know how awesome they are as well.
Dill and I were supposed to go on a date, but Dev wasn’t feeling well, so Carson chose me to go on his “date”. He had an Applebee’s free kids meal, I had a coupon, so Applebee’s it was.
But first, we went to Rock Star Pets. We had a blast. It helps that I love animals as well :). Rats too, Rachel. Especially rats. It was just a fun night together. I’m definitely excited about our new goal. Next week Dillon will take Devon. And we’ll do it once a month. I told the boys to not let us forget. We’ll do it with Bailey when she’s older. And hopefully it will last a long, long time! Some funny things Carson said on our date: At rock star pets, he looked at the mice and said, “Look at those little strange creatures!”
On our way out of Applebee’s, he saw an older couple. Then he said, “I bet they don’t like to be old.” I asked why. He said, “Because it’s not so good. It’s bad luck. They have gray hair. Maybe they’ll die soon.”
He was staring off into space and I asked him what he was thinking about. He said, “Home. It’s special to me. “I got home and found my other two boys rockin’ out.
One on One Fun Date!
“1 + 1 is 2, this night is just for you. You and me. So happy we will be. One on one fun date, one on one fun date, one on one fun date, just you and me” (repeat). That’s the song Carson and I made up on our One on One Fun Date. Cheesy? You bet.

I want to do one on one dates at our house too! Where is that pet store? It looks so awesome with the animals out and about.

Oh, and you know Jan = Janina right?
