First Crush

November 5, 2007 By Christie

Carson just has a thing for June. It started earlier this year when we discovered Little Einstein (we don’t have cable and so I just have some DVD’s and the boys became obsessed instantly). So it would start with him coloring her and then we’d put him to bed. He’d whisper to me, “Mom, can you go get me June?” and so I’d say, “You like here huh.” and he would smile and hide under the covers and say, “She’s my favorite.” Then there were the comments like, “Mom, you are wearing a ribbon in your hair like June. You look pretty like June. I like your dress, it’s like June’s dress.”
This morning I thought he was getting dressed but went to check on him to see if he wanted to eat breakfast with me and Dev. I open his door to see him staring at a picture of June in his book. I asked if he wanted to come eat and he said, “In a minute. I am looking at June. I was giving her big kisses and little kisses.” WOW!
So then his second little crush comes along down the street a couple houses, named Audrey. We got Audrey a dress for her birthday, a Belle dress, and he was so stoked for her to wear it, but her mom told her she needed to wait to try it on. Carson wanted to see her wear it so badly! He kept saying, “You want to wear your pretty dress?” and was actually sad that he couldn’t see her wear it!
What does this all mean? I am not sure, but I better watch this one with the ladies!

My kids are obsessed with Little Einsteins too, but they’ve never singled out any of them. I think that is just about one of the cutest things I have ever heard! You’re right, you will need to watch out for him when he gets older.

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
