Bailey’s started to say, “Yah.” a lot. The other day she saw a picture of Jesus and said, “Jesus!” I asked her, “Does Jesus love you Bailey?” And she quickly responded, “Yah.” Very matter-of-factly. Tonight she was saying something was “Fun!!!” and I asked if it was fun and she again quickly said, “Yah.” It’s just cute cute!
Carson is such a great reader. His teacher sent him home with a Junie B Jones book last week because she knew he could handle it. He doesn’t know all the words, but I am super impressed he can read most of it alone!
I was so proud of Carson. He’s been a great reader for a while now, and has started to read the Book of Mormon (non-picture too!). He told me, “I’m reading the Book of Mormon to find out if I believe it’s true!” I LOVE that. We had a great conversation after he said that. He’s wanted to read it every night in bed this last week. So awesome!
This morning Carson was blowing us all kisses as he got out of the van. He looked at Devon, got a cute smile on his face, took his hand, and said, “Love you Dev…..” then real loud and happy, “See you dudes!!!” and ran off.
Carson saw some kids outside while some seagulls were everywhere, flying all around like crazy, really low and close to the people. Carson said, “I bet those people are astonished.”
I told Devon that he was having a babysitter and he said, “But we’re not babies mom.”
During preschool Devon was wanting to sit by the girls and not the boys. His friend Tyler and Jackson asked him why, and Dev said very matter of factly, “Because, girls are pretty.”
Devon and Carson saw a tutu I made for their cousin’s b-day. They came down and Carson said, “Niiiiice.” Devon said, “What’s this pretty thing?”
Carson is so proud of the things I make for him. He seriously seems to exclaim it with as much pride as he can, “My mom made this!” I love it. I know it won’t last forever, but I’ll enjoy it while I can:).
During FHE, Carson gave the lesson and chose to ask questions for the activity. They varied, but one of them had a fun response. He asked, “Who is MY brother?” and grinned really big. Devon made a gasp and raised his hand. Carson called on Devon. Devon yelled, “ME!” and started grinning his little head off and giggling. Then he turned to me, smiled hugely, pointed and said, “Did you know that?” SO funny. We all laughed for so long over that one.
Carson was telling us a funny story about something and at the end was laughing and said, “Yah, that’s a funny conclusion.”
The kids and I went to CAL Ranch again to see the chicks. There was a new sign that said, “Don’t touch the peepers.” Dev thought for a second and said, “So, we can only not touch the ones that say PEEP!”
Carson and Devon were talking in bed Easter night. They were on the topic of the Resurrection. They talked a long time about Jesus getting resurrected, and then themselves. After a long pause in the conversation, we heard Devon say, “So…after you are resurrected, I get all your toys?” Another long pause. Carson changed the subject after that.
