Or Whitelock, Brinkerhoff, etc. It’s hard to know what to call it now! Williamson sounds better than My Side o’ the Fam’s Reunion. We went to Tanner’s Flat, which is a favorite with my family—it’s up Little Cottonwood Canyon and it is beautiful! I think it’s the perfect spot with kids. It’s kind of a wimpy way to camp, but like I said, it’s great for kids—there is pavement, flushing toilets, lots of shade and the site we get is huge. Take a look: I’m sure part of the reason I love it is just because we’ve been going up here for a while. So there are just so many wonderful memories. I haven’t been up there for 3 years—we were in Reno for one time, then skipped last year, so 3 total years in between now and the last time. Seriously, as soon as we pulled up and I saw the beautiful surroundings, I was just at peace and very happy! Jake, Devon, and Kara. Jake and Devon have some awesome bond that goes way back, we think! They are inseparable and get along great—and also like to be very mischievous together! See the fishing pole Dev is holding? It’s obviously a toy. Jake let him borrow it. Devon told me to come watch him, so he first showed me how it worked and said, “Interesting, huh?” He threw the “hook” in the water and was watching it for a minute. Then he looked up at me and said, “Wanna wait till I catch a fish?” It was super cute. Carson and Ashley were good buds the first day (before their favorite cousins came). Eric and Ryan. Gotta love horseshoes! I’m sad I didn’t get a chance to play though. Next year! My cute Grandma and Grandpa. Aunt Sandy with Grandma and Grandpa. Uncle Dirk and Aunt Heidi. Little Brielle and Melanie. Rachelle and Paul. Karl and my Mom. My hun and I. Devon just loves babies so much. He’s letting Brielle rip off his face and was still grinning and laughing through it all:). Bailey felt like such a big girl in the camp chairs! Carson brought How To Train Your Dragon to read. My cute mom doing her hair. She always does curlers and then rats the heck out of it—and it always looks great! Ryan’s fam and my fam along with Eric went on a hike to see a lake. The lake was kind of just okay, but the flowers on the way up were so beautiful. Unfortunately, the pics don’t really do them justice! Dev and Bailey. Buds. Carson looks awesome in this picture! Carson said he was a mountain goat. Bailey and Eric. My favorite picture of the whole trip. Jake and Dev. Emily and my sister Janina. See that dirt going straight for her pants and shoes!? She managed to get quite dirty. I was chatting with everyone and looked over to see only Bailey’s cute hands getting the pop out of our tent and setting them up in a row outside our tent from the inside. They got knocked over before I could take a picture, and the next pics are after they were knocked over. She came out to fix them. A lot of times the older adults go home to sleep while us kids stay. My mom and Karl did stay, but everyone else went home at night. Dillon, me, Eric, and Karl all stayed up late playing card games and Yahtzee. Brings back so many memories! Anyways, Uncle Dirk and Aunt Heidi brought popsicles back with them. Yum! While most everyone went home Sunday morning, we made a last minute decision to stay for a bit longer. Dillon wanted to go up the Uintahs to the lakes. So pretty! We had some food left over from lunch the day before luckily and had a picnic by a river. Since we weren’t planning on staying, we ran out of diapers. The gas station had her size—size 4, but it would’ve cost $11.00 for 10 diapers!!! They had these size one diapers two for $1.15, and so that’s what we did. It was a tight fit obviously! But sheesh, I just cannot pay over a buck a diaper! We rented a canoe for a few hours and went on Mirror Lake. It was so pretty! We paddled to the other side of the lake and got out to walk around for a while. This yellow fish followed us along the shoreline for about a 1/4 of a mile! Bailey LOVED it. She kept saying, “See me yellow fish!” Then she’d say, “Pink fish, purple fish, red.” On the drive down after canoeing, we stopped by Provo Falls. It is just gorgeous! K, I am NOT the one flexing here! I had to do a double take ! It’s Carson’s arm—funny huh!? Ever notice how there are very few pics with Bailey and me in them together? It’s because she always wants Dillon. See? We were so tired by the end of the day, but I am really glad we stayed. It was neat because we had a little church lesson out on the water—Dillon talked about when Jesus walked on water, and it was really spiritual to imagine it while we were on the water. I LOVE MY FAMILY!!! All of them, but I am sure happy to have some time with just my little family as well sometimes! What a fun weekend! There is just something about being surrounded by Heavenly Father’s beautiful creations combined with family that makes you feel so great!
