Memorable Moments: December 2011

January 1, 2012 By Christie

Carson is growing up so fast and seems so old to me! And so silly boy to me (liking all the somewhat annoying and gross jokes and stuff like that). It makes me smile though, when he changes a Christmas song to one of those silly ones, and says Ambleeance instead of Ambulance. He’s still young. :) While putting Bailey to bed, I asked if she wanted to sing a song. She said, "Yah! I want to sing the ‘Baby Jesus Coming Down the Chimney Tonight’ song!" Bailey brushed her teeth and was running back to her room when she stopped, gasped and said, "My teeth are going to turn green! These two teeth (pointing to them) because I didn’t brush them! I better go brush them!" I was showing the kids how to do the hang loose sign when we got back from Hawaii. Bailey and I were driving and she made the sign and said, "See mom! Ping pong!…I mean…what is this sign?" I was helping read in Devon’s class and Bailey came with me. She peeked inside the class, ran to me, and said, "Mom! I saw Devon! OUR Devon!" I guess Carson was spouting off a lot of facts about dinosaurs to Grandma Sheila. She asked him how he knew so much about them. His answer was, "Research Grandma! Research." Carson was eyeing Santa this morning at our Ward Party and said, "His beard is different this year." I said, "Yah, it’s kind of yellow." He grinned really big and said, "Maybe he forgot to wash it!" Bailey was singing the months of the year song and got most of the months in there, but for July she says "Goliath." Ha ha! Carson was reading the collection of special Christmas stories my mom gave us. I was happy to see him reading it since I didn’t ask him to. He came downstairs and said, "Mom? Those stories are REALLY good." I said, "I know! They are such neat stories, I think they make me cry every time I read them." He said, "They made me cry, too!" Devon and Carson were having a conversation about dolphins being able to beat a killer whale. Carson is such a factorian that Devon was asking him all sorts of questions. I thought it was cute how he asked, "Well, how many dolphins does it cost to beat a white shark?"

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
