Dev can RUN!

April 29, 2012 By Christie

So Devon has always had a super cute, clumsy and awkward run that Dillon and I LOVE!  In fact, every time we watch him run we laugh but think we don’t want to show him how to run because we’ll miss it.  Arms are flailing, legs aren’t lifting off the ground, one leg shoots out a bit to the right or left…it’s great.  So on this particular Sunday, I challenged Devon to a race.  I was going to go easy on him and I thought maybe we’d help him out finally and show him to pick up his legs and move his arms correctly.  Just a little so he didn’t have to be outrun by Carson all the time.  Well, the race started and Devon WON!  He beat me!  And I was trying!  He got this super determined look in his large eyes, karate chop hands, and he cruised!  Dillon and I were so taken off guard that we were laughing so hard.  Which just fueled his fire and he beat every one of us (except Dillon of course).  Even Carson, who can really run fast!  It was so funny and awesome. These pictures aren’t the best because it was getting dark and they were running so they are blurry, but it was a good time.  I love Sundays in the spring/summer/fall because we spend so much time together outside as a family and it’s my favorite! Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
