Gardening!!! I have no green thumb by any means, but I sure love spring time and planting flowers and a vegetable garden. I’m trying heirloom tomatoes this year–I’ve heard they are so much better, so I’m stoked. I’ve planted so many things that Dillon already teases me that by the time I can actually harvest things, I’ll be so pregnant that I won’t want to. So…free tomatoes anyone? I went a little overboard! Oh well, I’m really excited. In my vegetable garden, so far I’ve planted:
6 tomato plants: Brandywine, Lemon Boy, Mr. Stripey, Roma, Cherry, and Early Girl.
1 artichoke plant
peas
onions
cilantro (with many more herbs to come as it warms up–basil especially!)
peppers (three kinds)
Planning on:
corn, squash, pumpkins (yea! I love planting these with my kids!), and either a cucumber or zucchini (depending on what we have room for).
Flowers are a definite joy to my life! I love perennials, but most of them aren’t in bloom yet. Here are my favorite cheap annuals I’ve planted, and a couple of my favorite perennials that are in bloom!

Good for you! I wish I had some room to try a garden this year . . . dang condo. Anyway, I would probably kill everything anyway. I’m DYING to plant fresh basil . . . my favorite herb. Christian bought me an herb garden for Christmas, I just need to get on it!

Awesome! I am kind of in to planting this year too. All we have planted so far is strawberries but I want to do cucumbers and some flowers. We are kind of limited since we have to do all of our gardening in pots but it’s still lots of fun. Let me know if you have any good tips!
