-Devon said to this boy at the park: "Guess what? My dad can climb trees without any branches, just the stem." The boys said something back to him about his dad and Devon replies, "Niiice." -Carson was telling us his news at FHE. "Well..l’ll be 12 soon." -Devon has his new glasses and got home from school and told me, "Mom, I tried to see if I could see better when I read and I can!!! I can see way better!!!" -Carson asked if anyone wanted to play him at chess. Bailey yelled, "I do!" Carson told her she didn’t know how to play and she said, "I know how to play, cause I am the champion!" -Carson said, "Mom. I just found out we are awesome. Cause I can swim well and Devon can climb trees well." I look at Devon and he’s just beaming. Such a funny pair of boys. -Bailey got stuck in her shirt while taking it off. She said she needed a hug and then said, "I will ALWAYS need hugs when that happens!" -Devon was alone in the bathroom, talking to himself in the mirror, repeating himself, and jinxing himself. -Bailey told me the flies were "attackeling" her. -Carson had his eyes examined and they dilated is hands. In his prayer he asked to please bless his eyes to disintegrate. Instead of un-dilate. -Devon was saying a really sweet prayer, starting with little things he was thankful for and eventually working his way up to being thankful for the whole world. -Devon had just barely seen Carson and Bailey at home while I took him to violin about 1 minute away from our house. He got out and said, "Bye mom! Tell Carson and Bailey I said bye, too!" -Devon was reading a book in his bed. Dillon heard him sigh and say, "This is the best book ever." Dillon went in there to tell him that was cute and he was sound asleep, not 5 seconds later. So cute.:) -I said, "Hey Devon, what’s up?" He grinned really funny, did some crazy hand motion, and said, "Sup." -Devon came home with his spelling test and came up to me proudly and said, "Mom, this is like the best paper ever." He was so happy he got a 100%. :) -We went up the canyon with some friends (on his birthday, actually). Dillon showed Carson this steep drop-off. He asked Carson what the name of the cliff should be and he said, "Scared-the-heck-outta-me-cliff!" -After Stake Conference got over, Carson said, "Well, that was a friendly meeting!" -I took some cookies to Carson’s class for his birthday. They were at recess so I went outside to say hello. He was playing soccer with about 30 other kids, yet still yelled "Mommy!" and ran to give me the sweetest, longest hug with the sweetest smiles. It almost made me cry! I was so happy he’s still ok to do that in front of other kids.
