Oh my goodness, I have SOOO much to catch up on. And what’s really crazy is that I want to catch up on my blog all before Ruby’s surgery at the end of November, so I figure I better do a couple posts a night. So here we go! Dillon has been working INSANE hours and we hardly see him. We’ve been hoping to go to a pumpkin patch together as a fam to pic out pumpkins but that hasn’t happened, so I ended up taking the kids tonight to a fun place in Tooele. Not really a pumpkin patch, but such a huge variety of pumpkins that I think it was maybe even funner. And since every year before this we either get pumpkins at Walmart or grow our own, and in that case they are much smaller. Someday we’ll have an awesome garden and grow huge pumpkins…this was not our year. We grew weeds. And a whole lot of ‘em! Just look at that look on her face! She was so so excited! It was so fun to see them all be really excited and put some great thought into which pumpkin they would choose. Carson broke his glasses (well, Bailey sat on his face and did, ha ha!), but even despite his glasses being not on his face, I feel like he is changing quickly these days. He told me he wants his hair to look like Percy Jackson’s hair these days. He’s going to have to spring for half the cost of the haircut if he wants longer hair, because I just do not know how to cut longer hair no matter how often I try. You can just see how torn she is here! And this is where I think the book, “The Littlest Pumpkin” ran through her mind. You’ll see why below. Made it home. Devon’s pumpkin was the biggest, then Carson’s, then mine and Dillon’s (which probably won’t be carved—they’ll be fall décor), and then Ruby’s and Bailey…well she got the tiniest. Oh, not those teeny tiny ones…those are also for décor. But that one she’s holding. See how awesomely excited they all are? Except Ruby. She wasn’t a fan of pumpkin shopping. I think it’s pretty funny and cute how she’s stretching her hand out towards me in the picture above. :) Cute kiddos. I sure love them. We went inside and turned on a show. Devon watched it for about 1 minute and went outside to look at his pumpkin. Then he came in and got a marker and went back outside. He couldn’t even wait to draw on the face :).
