Memorable Moments: November 2013

December 1, 2013 By Christie

Carson saw a pawn shop that had lots of mounts on the walls. He said he was going to save up his money so he could buy one of the cougar mounts.
The kids were reading older “memorable moments” that I have in their special boxes of stuff and loving it. One of Devon’s things he said was, “How many dolphins does it cost to beat a killer whale?” They laughed and laughed, including Bailey. But then Bailey looked at me and said, “It costs a whole pack of dolphins!”
Bailey ran into my room and had the best, cutest face while telling me that it had snowed! Love my kids’ excitment!
Bailey got out of bed after being in bed for about 10 seconds. He told her she needed to try harder and she said, “I have tried for a million times to fall asleep!”
Devon was sick and I told him he needed to keep his distance and not kiss Ruby. He burst into tears because he was just so sad about that!
Devon sings a song for Ruby that talks about how it’s ok because he loves her.
Carson was reading me part of a book about this character wishing he told his mom she was the best…then Carson said he felt same way about his mom:). So sweet!!!
One of my favorite things is when we all are sitting at the table and Ruby is just being cute and we all laugh and have a great time together. Simple but wonderful.
Devon was reading one of his old school books he wrote. He was so cute reading it just how it spelled it, and said, “My favrite fod is wafles.” and laughed and laughed at himself.
Carson asked us how long we were married before we had him. I told him 2 years. He got really excited and said, “That means Mrs. Roxburgh will have a baby this year!” His teacher is really young. :)
Carson wanted to know how he can get into BYU. I told him he has to get good grades. Bailey said, “Miss Holly is a good grade.” (that’s her preschool class)
The kids were eating root beer floats and Carson said, “I’m sure glad I have a mom like you.”
Devon keeps telling me he wants to eat Ruby because she’s so sweet.
We have Bailey repeat a scripture during family scripture study. I LOVE the way she looks at us if we don’t tell her that her verse is over and we keep reading–it’s like a “I will never remember all of that!”
During FHE, Carson said, “I think our family has the gift of tongues. Ruby speaks baby, Bailey speaks cat and english, Devon speaks his own weird made-up language and english, I speak a little chinese, a little spanish, and english, Dad speaks english and spanish (to which Dillon corrected him and said he speaks Spanish, English, and American) and Mom can speak english and spanish.”
Dillon walked into Bailey’s room and her eyes were really wide and she asked him, “Did you say you were going to buy the bionic bunny?”

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
