Being home has been great, but it has also been hard for Ruby. Ruby has major separation anxiety and stranger anxiety. I totally get that and don’t blame her one bit. After all she’s been through, the poor girl. She is typically up all night unless I am holding her, and she does not want me to put her down. She does not sleep well alone at all. So I hold her and love it, because I still get to hold her, while others don’t have their sweet babies anymore. I will gladly hold her as long as she wants me to.
Just a side note, but they said she will probably lose some hair after her surgery, that it’s normal after a major surgery.
And guess what? After those pictures above, she let me put her down and she stayed asleep! This was only her 4th nap that I was able to put her down for since surgery.
And why I took picture after picture, risking waking her up, I don’t know ;). But she’s cute and I had to document that of course!
She had been eating solids a bit before surgery but had no interest initially after surgery, so we also started feeding her solids again on the 1st.
It’s so good to see her acting more and more like herself.
