Temple Square and Nativity

January 12, 2012 By Christie

Our “secret” to going to Temple Square has been to go after Christmas, but that did not work this year at all.  It was so busy and so cold.  Bummer.  But still as beautiful as ever! I know it’s horribly blurry, but Bailey really wanted to keep touching the temple and Dillon was too fast…

Memorable Moments: December 2011

January 1, 2012 By Christie

Carson is growing up so fast and seems so old to me! And so silly boy to me (liking all the somewhat annoying and gross jokes and stuff like that). It makes me smile though, when he changes a Christmas song to one of those silly ones, and says Ambleeance instead of Ambulance. He’s…

Christmas Day

December 27, 2011 By Christie

I so love Christmas morning when the kids get up and are so darn excited they can hardly stand it!  I’m pretty sure Carson was up at 6:30 but no one else was so he waited and Dillon and I got to sleep in until 7:30.  Pretty good for Christmas morning!  If they had a…

A Little Christmas Story

December 27, 2011 By Christie

I wanted to record some of our experiences from the past month because it was special to us this year!  (I got permission from Dillon to share this ;) Finances have been up and down this year, and we were not sure if we were going to be paid on a certain job from this…

Christmas Eve!

December 27, 2011 By Christie

Christmas Eve afternoon was spent at Rachelle’s house for a great program and dinner.  It was a lot of fun and I wish I wasn’t lazy and had taken out my camera, but I didn’t.  I always like it because we sing a lot and have neat stories told and it’s a spiritual program.    Once…

Making “Corn” Warmers

December 26, 2011 By Christie

Grandma Rita gave us a corn (white hominy) warmer for Christmas and my kids love it!  So I told them they could each make our own.  Devon was especially excited!  You can get the white hominy at Winco for $0.52/lb.  Yay!  We might have to make some for Christmas presents one year as they would…

Gingerbread Men

December 26, 2011 By Christie

We invited our friends over to make some gingerbread men this year.  My kids were looking forward to having them over for a couple weeks and were beyond excited.  (and hello—can we say obviously messing around with my manual settings since none of them look like they were taken in the same lighting!  Oh well…practice…

A Christmas-y Post

December 21, 2011 By Christie

(I’m not finished posting about Hawaii, but Karl is busy and has a bunch of pics I took on his camera for the day I’m waiting to post, so you aren’t getting out of it, it’s just postponed!) No tears for Santa this year! Carson wants Hagrid’s Hut legos.  This smile is what his answer…

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
