Memorable Moments January 2012

February 6, 2012 By Christie

(aka, Bailey is saying a lot of funny things these days) Carson was talking about something and we were talking about how things weren’t always fair. Devon said, “I think life is fair.” I reminded him how sometimes he doesn’t always feel that way, and that’s ok but it’s true, life isn’t always fair. He…

Zac Brown Band!!!

January 21, 2012 By Christie

This concert was AMAZING!  We were so close and it was just awesome.  Although I’m getting too old to stand for the two opening acts and the whole concert.  What a wus I am now that I’m an old lady!  We went with our friends Bryce and Michelle.  What a great time! and here I…

Bailey dreams of the big bad wolf.

January 17, 2012 By Christie

I was in the kitchen a couple weeks ago and Bailey finally woke up for the morning.  She was very sad and in tears.  She stopped on the stairs and said, “Mom?  Do we still have those animals?”  I asked her what animals and she said, “Those animals?  Where are they?”  She ran to me…

Once There Was a Snowman

January 17, 2012 By Christie

I love that Dillon was totally headed out to work for a couple hours on Saturday and decided to nix that and build a snowman with the kids.  They had a great time and I’m so glad they have that memory now! Then they had a snowball fight.  Bailey got a little snow in the…

Hawaii: Day Seven

January 17, 2012 By Christie

Our last day in Hawaii.  Is it pathetic that I almost cry looking at these?  It was that wonderful of a trip.  After packing up and leaving the condo, Dillon and I decided we wanted to at least lay on the beach a bit more while we were there, since we didn’t feel like we…

Hawaii: Day Six

January 17, 2012 By Christie

We woke up every day and enjoyed guava jam and POG.  Yum! On Sunday we went to Sacrament Meeting.  It was really neat because it was fast and testimony meeting, and I felt the Spirit really strong.  You hear it said all the time, but it’s so great to feel at home in the church,…

Hawaii: Day Five

January 12, 2012 By Christie

We woke up and decided we wanted to try snorkeling at Captain Cook’s Cove, as we had talked to several people in Hawaii who said it had amazing snorkeling.  What they didn’t tell us though, was that you had to boat about a mile to it.  So unfortunately that meant my mom and Karl were…

Just Randomness

January 12, 2012 By Christie

Devon wrote this on the lid to the legos.  It says, “I love my family. To my family.  From Devon.”  He’s a sweetie. The sunsets have been so especially beautiful here lately!  And my children have been getting along really well the past 3 or 4 days!  I’m so happy when that happens.  We’ve started…

Pheasant Hunting

January 12, 2012 By Christie

The boys were so excited they got to tag along on the Hurst annual pheasant hunt this year!  (Even Rosco got to go, so he was in heaven as well).  I asked if Devon was sad they shot the birds, and to my surprise Dillon said both he and Carson were hollering and whooping and…

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
