Before dinner we went to our wards’ Halloween Parade around the block. They got donuts afterwards. Devon didn’t want to do it, and Carson was already tired by the time we got to the park, and then had to march quite a long ways around. He was dead last coming back, as I predicted. One of the Primary counselors asked him, “How you doin’ Carson, are you going to make it?” She said he sighed and said, “Yah, but I really miss my family.” We were just waiting at the park for them to come back. Funny boy.
Trick or treating was short but really fun. First we went to Tooele where all the businesses around the old part of Main Street give out candy, so that was pretty fun. We went to see Dillon’s dad there. So they of course loaded the boys with candy, then we went to see the firemen down the road a ways, which was totally worth it. As soon as the firemen saw their costumes, they made a big fuss and said, “Oh! Firemen get double!” They got more than double because another guy there gave them even more and then let them sit in their fire truck. It was perfect! Carson was especially excited. Devon was more just feeling sick. Poor kiddos. When we left it was actually time for them to all be done, so he turned on the sirens just for them too, which was nice of them. It sure made Carson’s night.
We came home and trick or treated around the neighborhood a little bit and then went home and watched ‘Elmo Says Boo!’ and then they went to bed! Fun times! Dillon asked me what my favorite Halloween memories are and I have to say, having kids during holidays just make the best memories!

I love those little Halloween socks! Where did you find them? I’m glad you had a good time, and I’m glad your kids are getting a little better. Sickness is no fun.

Target for a buck. I love their dollar stuff at the front of their store! Just went there today for their after-Halloween sales. Too bad the closest one takes 40 minutes to get to!!!

So you guys really bobbed for apples? How fun!! My boys would have freaked out. Maybe they should take some lessons from your boys on how to be tough. :)
