What is your husband’s name?
Dillon
How long have you been together?
We have been married for 6 years last November.
How long did you date?
We met in September of 2000, dated until the next September, then got married that November.
Who eats more?
He definitely does, but I can sure “pack the groceries” as he puts it when we go out to eat!
Who said “I love you” first.
I am totally so sad to say that I had to ask Dillon this question!!! I couldn’t even recollect it after he told me!!!! And I thought I was a sap! But he said he either told me at Ottavio’s or at my apartment first, he couldn’t remember because he said both times he just remembers the look in my eyes being the same since it was so new:).
Who asked who out first?
Well, we were talking late one night and Dillon suggested Wendy’s drive-thru, but since that doesn’t really count in my opinion, I did. We were supposed to go bunji jumping but (luckily!) that didn’t end up happening and we saw The Testament downtown instead. Sure tricked him huh!
Who has more speeding tickets?
He does. I have only ever been pulled over once for expired registration, but didn’t get a ticket. He has a lead-foot for sure, and I actually don’t ever know how fast I’m going anymore cause it says I’m always going 120–probably should get that fixed!
Who is smarter?
He knows a lot lot more than I do.
Who is more sensitive?
I think on most things, I am, but he surprises me greatly sometimes when he gets emotional. I think he’s the perfect level of sensitiveness (is that a word?).
When there is a fight, who usually wins?
Goodness, I guess we both just admit what we did wrong. I HATE fighting–I wish I could say we never did!
Who does the laundry?
Me.
Who does the dishes?
Me, unless I ask him to or if it’s really bad:).
Who sleeps on the right?
Looking at the bed, me.
Who pays the bills?
I do.
Who mows the lawn?
We both do–he weedwacks usually and I mow–I really like to mow though, or he totally would. I just do it when he’s at work and the kids play outside. I don’t know why I like it!
Who cooks dinner?
I almost always do, but I love when he gets adventurous and does it. He’s actually a very good cook!
Who drives when you are together?
I usually drive there when it’s light and he drives home in the dark.
Who is more stubborn?
We are both way more stubborn than we’d like to be. Something we are working on! Guess Carson didn’t stand a chance! I didn’t think I used to be stubborn, but I totally am. Dangit!
Who kissed whom first?
Dillon totally did–I was completely not for it that soon. We had only been out a few times, and that week a few other guys had actually asked me out (finally!!!). We were up South Fork Canyon in Provo and he took me to a beautiful spot. Totally planned:).
Who proposed.
Dillon did–picked out the ring and everything. Remember where we first kissed? That’s where he took me. Long story short, it was a heck of a week, I was tired of waiting, day after terrorist attacks, and I was ready to break up with him. He had already bought the ring and was ready to ask me!!! So we went up the canyon, it was raining and muddy and I just thought, “What the heck is this guy thinking???” We get to the spot and are huddling under a blanket to keep from getting wet. It’s lightning and thundering. Very wise. He asked if I thought we could make it and I said yes, so he stood up and hugged me while he got the ring out, knelt back down and asked me if I would marry him in the house of the Lord. I was so surprised I forgot to answer:). Oops. It stopped raining and got all sunny (awww, how perfect), we hiked back down, got in the Jeep to go to Ottavio’s to celebrate, and hit a skunk on the way down. Um, could that be a sign??? Just really funny and the Jeep stunk for a week! But it sure hasn’t been a sign of anything yet!
Who has more siblings?
I do, I have 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and he only has 2 brothers (I always thought it’d be cool if he grew up with a sister, but actually, he’s very sensitive about “girl” issues, so maybe that’s good he didn’t–he learned it all the hard way with girlfriends!!)
I’m adding another one as well:
Who is more patient with the other?
Dillon is so so patient and accepts me for me. He never gives me advice without my asking first, and makes me feel like I am a much better person than I really am!
He’s gonna love this one:). Here he is cooking (proof!)–hadn’t even had Carson yet here! Can you see that if we stretched out our arms we would touch wall to wall in our tiny kitchen:)?

That’s a cute tag. I always love hearing stories of how people got together. Very sweet.

So cute. I can’t believe how much of that I didn’t know. I promise I’ll try and get to it sometime soon. :) But I feel like it would be so boring…

How fun, Christie! I never knew any of that, either, and it’s fun to hear it. Congrats on over 6 years!

That was fun–and I thought I would have known more of that stuff since we were roommates for part of that time period.
