If you are here it’s likely because you like to sew, craft, or maybe because you have a connection with congenital heart defects like my family. Welcome! I hope you find something to inspire you! Feel free to click HERE to browse tutorials, or just look over on the sidebar and find LABELS to direct yourself wherever you fancy. So I’m Christie. I met my husband Dillon in October of 2000 after meeting him at Brigham Young University. He was a hunky construction worker and I was going to school to become a Social Worker. We dated for a year and were married in the Bountiful Temple (Utah) in November, 2001. Two falls later, we welcomed our first baby and since have added three more, the last of which was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. From oldest to youngest my kids are: Carson, age 10. Devon, age 9. Bailey, age 5. and Ruby, age 8 months. This is us now (well, in October 2013): Oh I love those people. You can see the details of our clothing HERE, in case you are interested :). I started this blog in January of 2010. What started as a passionate sewing and crafting blog has evolved and changed over the years as my family has grown and changed. So I kind of go with the flow of what is happening in life. You’ll still get sewing and crafting. Making children’s clothing is my favorite creative outlet. But you’ll also see more “life” posts these days. I post what I like and refrain from posting things just because I think others will like it. It took me a long time to learn that and I’m happy to say I’m really there and perfectly content with how things are working here. Currently I’m trying to raise those beautiful kids you see pictured above, and not have any regrets. I know I will very well still have regrets, but I don’t want it to be because of this here blog. Which is why posting can be sporadic and I’m not nearly as dedicated as I once was. But I love my readers and that keeps me coming back—connecting with people all over the world has been a blessing and joy in my life. One that I’m hoping to hold onto a bit longer. How long? Only time and life will tell. But in the meantime, I’m just happy you are here, and happy to be sharing what I call the “beautiful” of our lives. We have a lot of messy parts, and some not-so-pretty parts. But typically I’ll leave those to ourselves and just share what I feel will bring any amount of joy to you. Thanks for reading.
