Zoo

February 27, 2008 By Christie

Last week we went to the zoo when it was a nice day (Tuesday). It really was a good time, and the animals were actually out! It wasn’t too hot for them–the only ones we missed were the rhino’s. This tiger has NEVER moved an inch when we’ve been there, but he was out all over and actually roaring at us! The peacock was funny. We saw him coming while we were eating lunch and I told the boys he was coming to have lunch with us. Well, it came right up to our table–needless to say, Devon was freaked out by it. Carson hurried to the stroller and told him not to steal his peanut butter and honey sandwich. Devon had to be “cool” the whole time wearing his sunglasses.

Fun times! My kids LOVE the zoo! We had a membership in Florida, which was nice, because it paid for itself in 3 visits. And then I could go for just a few hours, if the kids were cranky or something, and not feel bad about leaving. And we went every week for a while! Highly recommended to get a zoo membership!

That looks like a lot of fun. We don’t have a cool zoo anywhere nearby. Ethan feels pretty sad about that!

How fun! I’m very glad to hear I don’t have the only 3 year old that gets a little scared at silly things. :) And very cute that Carson was so protective of his sandwich, such a brave boy! :)

I’ve been talking about going to the zoo the past few days. (We have an annual membership! So nice..) If I can get my little man over his cold I think we’ll head up there this week. I’d LOVE for my kids to see the tiger up and moving.

I love all your quotes on the sidebar. So cute. I really need to start writing stuff like that down about my kiddo’s too. I usually forget too quickly.

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
