Devon’s 3rd Birthday!!!

March 5, 2008 By Christie

Happy Birthday Devon! I can’t believe he is 3 already. We had a great day. His birthday was on Monday (3/3!), but I haven’t in a “blogalicious” mood lately–I’m normally laying on the couch all morning and the computer makes me sick! His birthday was very fun though! We love him so much. He is such a sweet sweet boy and so easy to love. I love that boy! He is so quick to make me smile. We’re so glad we have him!
In his Sunday suit–it finally fits him.

Singing Happy Birthday to him at Aunt Sandy’s house.

Aunt Sandy got him this super cute cake–so I didn’t need to make another one for his birthday on Monday.
We always decorate the kids’ doors and the kitchen. I love hearing them wake up and be surprised at walking out to a fun surprise (it’s not that great, but it’s something simple that they love). Devon walked downstairs and said, “Cool mom! That looks so cool!” So it’s totally worth it!
We made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast.
He got to choose between bowling and the Children’s Museum, and since he didn’t know what the heck bowling was, he chose that. Carson told everyone he went “Real bowling!” since the only bowling he’s done was on the Wii at Grandma and Grandpa Hurst’s house.

Drinking horchata at Ixtapa restaurant. He said he wanted a quesadilla for dinner.

I made Carson a book like this at age 2, and thought age 3 might be a little better, it’s just really simple, but they like them.

Looks like a fun birthday! Devon looks so handsome in his big kid suit. I am totally going to steal your idea of decorating their door. That is such a cute idea!

You do a LOT for your kids on their birthdays! I’m feeling really super-lame now . . . I’m going to steal your ideas, too!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
