What’s Your Favorite???

May 5, 2008 By Christie

Dillon and I got to go out on a date Friday night (thanks Mel and Ryan!!! I LOVE swapping–don’t move!). We went to the dollar movie but first we went to Costa Vida. I know there is lots of talk about Cafe Rio, but I just wondered what people like there the best? Dillon likes Costa Vida the best because their sweet pork is a bit sweeter than Cafe Rio’s, AND they have Horchata on tap there:). A definite plus I believe! But, Bajio has Horchata on tap as well, and I love that they put a bunch of yummy stuff inside their burritos as well. I guess I don’t love the sweet pork because I don’t feel like it’s Mexican food anymore, I just feel like I’m eating at a BBQ when I went there to enjoy Mexican food.
My favorite place of the 3 is Bajio, but it’s their veggie burrito that I love because they put sour cream, cucumber ranch, carmelized onions, guacamole, and grilled corn inside that is SO yummy. So, what do you like best of Bajio, Cafe Rio, and Costa Vida (or any other knock-off similar to these). AND what do you like to get when there? I got the Big Kahuna burrito at Costa Vida with their shredded chicken and wasn’t blown away by any means! It’s good, I just prefer others!
By the way, we saw Vantage Point–it was really interesting–a bit violent, especially towards the end, but very entertaining and different! I love date nights!!!

That is so great that you guys get to go out on dates so often. I think we maybe get out twice a year!

We have actually only been to Cafe Rio, but we like it so much we have never had the desire to go anywhere else. I guess we should try and branch out a little more!

I always get the pork barbacoa burrito, and Brad gets the grilled steak burrito, both enchilada style. Yum! This is making me want to go there soon!

CAFE RIO!!! I think that I have filled up at least 6 Cafe Rio cards since I have been married!! I am glad you and your hubby were able to get out on a little date!

I love Costa Vida, but only because of the mango salsa!! Honestly I don’t even know if the other places have mango salsa, they probably do and it’s probably just as good, but I just love that mango salsa!!

Now, you know how I feel about this one (if you have been reading my blog). I’ve never been to Bajios. I’ve only been to Costa Vida once, and thought it was fine. When I want Mexican, I go to authentic Mexican. When I want sweet pork, I go to Cafe Rio. Crazily, I have never thought of Cafe Rio as Mexican food!

Is there any question–really? CAFE RIO beats the other two hands down. In fact I think there is no competition. Although I will say that it depends on your taste buds. And another thing, I think that Costa Vida is a Cafe Rio rip off.

UGH! I am so jealous that you live in Utah and get to have a Costa Vida a Bajio AND a Cafe Rio by you! Here in MI, we get…. Nada! :(
My favortie place was Cafe Rio, I still crave their pork salad! (my mouth is salivating as we speak) ;)

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
