Just For Fun

September 12, 2008 By Christie

So, I had contractions ALL night, totally exactly 13 minutes apart. Then all morning they were 8 minutes apart, and now…sporadic and different, not the same. So, a disappointed me comes blogging. My friend Erin posted something fun on her blog, and I decided to try and pass the time doing something that will get my mind off these uneventful contractions.

Here’s what you do. You google your name and add the word “needs” to it. So, I googled ‘Christie needs’ and this is some of what I found. I bolded the actual part from the internet, and just filled in the rest:). My top 10 favorites…

1) Christie needs charity. As in, the virtue, I think.
2) Christie needs to grow a pair. Hmmm.
3) Christie needs to explain herself. Okay, I’ll explain #2. It was just too darn funny not to put that one on the list!
4) Christie needs you. To pray that I’ll have this baby today!
5) Christie needs therapy. Ain’t that the truth!
6) Christie needs to learn to know God and his rules so she can have a peaceful life with her children and find a good man. Well, I found a good man already and I think every day I learn more about God hopefully. I do lead a great life with my children, though not always peaceful.
7) Christie needs no introduction. I don’t. I guess you all know me already:).
8) Christie needs around $5.4 million. What an understatement!
9) Christie needs to resign. Okay okay, I’m getting off the computer.
10) Christie needs to concentrate on her children. This is why I’m doing #9 :).

Have a great day, and please refer again to #4.

Oh don’t you worry, I won’t stop praying till you have that baby!

It is so funny how everyone’s labor experiences are different. If my contractions were 13 minutes apart and then sporadic, it would mean I needed to get to the hospital ASAP because the baby would be born in one to two hours. :) That probably didn’t help you feel any better though…sorry.

But contractions are good no matter what…so at least the time is finally near at hand! Good luck!

Well, at least you know that this baby is coming. My contractions were so sporadic–it was really annoying because I didn’t know if anything was really happening or if I was in false labor or what. I’ll pray for you–hopefully this won’t drag on. Also, I decided to do your little Google search–the very first result was, “Tiffany needs bigger breasts”–prophetic, I tell you! :) Good luck!

Cute idea, I tried it too and I’m going to blog some of the results.

Good luck with the contractions. I had contractions regularly with Eden for the last 6 weeks because of them stopping my premature labor. And with Amanda I had contractions on and off about 6 minutes apart for several days before I had her. We’ll keep praying for ya though!

    Love ya!

Funny, funny stuff. I googled my own name like this and found out, first and foremost, that “Jennifer needs a smack daddy.” I think I will NOT be delving into that any further.

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
